Short Description

Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Position

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Cooper University Health Care (CUH) and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) has an opportunity for full-time, outpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join our department.

CUH is a strong, physician-led health system and academic medical center with a foundational core dedicated to ensuring access to excellent care for patients from a range of communities across southern New Jersey. CMSRU trains medical students using progressive approaches to community health for people with a wide range of cultures, backgrounds, and socioeconomic conditions. Our main campus is in Camden, NJ less than 15 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. Outpatient locations are also located throughout Southern New Jersey.

Position roles and opportunities:• Outpatient practice—general adult psychiatry with the opportunity to develop areas of clinical focus based on your interests and expertise• Teaching residents (psychiatry, family medicine) and medical students in clinical experiences and didactics• Consultation to primary care clinicians to support them in providing appropriate mental health care to adults• Explore other areas of professional interest

Experience Required

Appointment and rank will be commensurate with experience. Candidates should have several years of experience in clinical care and program development, hold active ACGME board certification in General Psychiatry, and be eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey. Education Requirements

MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) degree.

License/Certification Requirements

New Jersey medical license
