Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Inpatient

📍 Brook Lane Hospital | Hagerstown, MD

💰 $335,000 Salary + $250,000 Sign-On Bonus + Up to $50,000 Relocation

Position Highlights

• $335K base salary
• $250K sign-on bonus
• Up to $50K relocation assistance
• 7 on / 7 off schedule (10-hour days)
• 100% inpatient – no clinic responsibilities
• Manageable caseload (~16 patients)
• Teaching opportunities with psychiatry residents, medical students, NP and PA programs
• Full benefits including CME, malpractice, retirement, PTO, and health coverage

Practice Details

• 38-bed Child & Adolescent Inpatient Program (average census ~32)
• Units serving ages 8–17
• Average length of stay: 8–10 days
• Common diagnoses: ADHD, depressive disorders, trauma, autism spectrum disorders, ODD, adolescent substance use
• Admissions primarily from regional emergency departments

Team-Based Care

Work alongside a strong multidisciplinary behavioral health team, including:

• Nurses & Mental Health Associates
• Social Workers & Counselors
• Psychologists
• Discharge Planning Team
• Medical Consult Services

All staff are trained in CPI de-escalation and safety protocols, with security support and systems designed to maintain a safe care environment.

Call Schedule

• 1 night per week
• 1 in 6 weekends
• Daytime on-call coverage for ED referral screenings and urgent inpatient needs
