  • Position: Psychiatrist – PROS and OASAS
  • Location: Suffolk County- Long Island , NY
  • Salary Range: $250,000.00 - $300,000.00
  • Type: Full-Time
  • Reports to: Chief Medical Officer – Medical / Senior Director of Clinical Services – Administrative

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert psychiatric assessments and treatments to individuals participating in PROS and OASAS programs.
  • Supervise and support Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and clinical staff.
  • Develop and oversee medication management, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) such as Methadone.
  • Participate in integrated treatment planning, clinical meetings, and staff development.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, compliance with regulations, and effective communication with outside providers and agencies.
  • Offer coverage and support for various clinical programs, including ACT Teams.
  • Maintain proficiency with agency IT systems and documentation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed physician in New York State, with certification or eligibility from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Valid NY State driver’s license and clearance from the NYS Office of Mental Health.
  • Experience in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and clinical supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of community resources and evidence-based practices.
