St Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton is seeking interested psychiatrists to work in our Acute Psychiatry (General Psychiatry) Inpatient Service.

At this time, we are seeking interested psychiatrists who could provide part-time and/or full-time support to this service. In this position you will:

·Manage a caseload of patients on an Acute Psychiatry inpatient unit

·Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team which includes nursing and allied staff.

·Participate in weekly interdisciplinary meetings and case conferences.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Ontario CPSO license and be a trained psychiatrist with FRCPC or equivalent. There will be an expectation that the physician will be eligible for a Faculty position with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, McMaster University, and that they will have an interest and aptitude for teaching and/or clinical research.
