
Provides evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and management of behavioral health problems and psychiatric disorders. The PMHNP possesses prescriptive authority and provides comprehensive services necessary for the promotion of optimal mental health, prevention and treatment of psychiatric disorders and ongoing health maintenance services.
Excellence in Practice:
Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited educational institution.
Licensed and ANCC Board Certified as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner across the lifespan.
Experience: Post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
Must be able to perform CPR using agency-trained protocols.
License Requirements: Maintains current and highest Drug Enforcement Agency certification allowed in the state of North Dakota and South Dakota.
Must have current, valid driver’s license in state of residence.
Skills: Proficient in the use of an electric health record application. Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
