Job Description

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy, & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a Residential level 3.5 setting! 

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful & independent living. 


Responsibilities Include:
  • Diagnosing & treating clients in collaboration with clinical colleagues. 
  • Complete psychiatric evaluations, consultations, treatment planning, medication administration / adjustments, medication assisted treatment (MAT / MOUD), mental status assessments, supportive therapy, and / or crisis intervention. 
  • Prescribe and / or direct psychotherapeutic treatments or medication to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. 
  • Monitor effects of psychotropic medications on clients. 
  • Revise / update plan of care based on client progress or lack of progress. 

Required Education & Experience:
  • Maryland or compact state license as an RN 
  • CRNP-PMH (or) PMHNP
  • Must hold XDEA (Buprenorphine waiver) privileges 
  • Vivitrol injection experience
  • Basic Life Support / CPR 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications / Competencies:
  • Possesses clinical elements of substance use treatment 
  • Possesses knowledge of trauma, attachment, & relational models. 
  • Possesses knowledge of methods for appropriate clinical documentation in a treatment setting. 
  • Possesses knowledge of techniques for effective assessments & case management. 
  • Ability to write clear & concise reports. 
  • Ability to analyze therapeutic processes & determine means of maintaining and / or increasing efficiencies. 
  • Ability to explain technical / medical terminology to nonexperts. 

Hours:
  • Full-time 
  • Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm
