Cordial Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience to provide on-site behavioral health care throughout Queens, New York . This full-time position offers a stable weekday schedule, meaningful clinical work and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with an underserved adult and geriatric population. Responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Provide ongoing psychiatric consultations and follow-up care Diagnose and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Prescribe, monitor and optimize psychotropic medications Evaluate medication effectiveness, side effects and behavioral stability Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers and families Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning Educate residents, caregivers and staff regarding diagnoses and interventions Provide compassionate, trauma-informed and resident-centered care Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation Requirements Board-certified PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant with significant psychiatric experience Active and unrestricted New York professional license Active DEA registration required Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology and treatment planning Ability to manage a psychiatric caseload independently Excellent communication, organization and relationship-building skills Geriatric, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care or post-acute experience preferred Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred Benefits Competitive compensation with strong earning potential Full-time weekday schedule with no weekend work Stable daytime hours and predictable workflow Paid orientation and training for up to 40 hours Malpractice insurance coverage Medical, dental and vision coverage for eligible employees 401(k) with employer match Paid time off for eligible employees Weekly live continuing medical education Paid access to UpToDate Structured clinical onboarding and ongoing mentorship Case consultation with experienced psychiatric leadership Comprehensive clinical, administrative and operational support Professional advancement and leadership opportunities
