The UCLA Medicine-Pediatrics section is looking to hire a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) for patient care in our multidisciplinary clinics. This position is part-time at 70% (28 hours/week), with a minimum of 3 full days of clinic and one ½ day of administrative work per week.
Candidate must be a certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and have completed a training program accredited by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Candidate must also have at least 2 years of direct patient care experience with children/adolescents with diagnoses such as autism, ADD/ADHD, anxiety/depression, bipolar disorder, and additional psychiatric conditions.
The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, and work with physicians and behavioral health specialists to ensure safe continuity of care. The provider must be on call during working hours to respond to patient requests and will be provided with a UCLA cell phone for this purpose. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, and makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered.
Salary range: $93.81- $133.97/hourly
