Summary:
North Olympic Healthcare Network (NOHN) is seeking a second full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join its staff. The PMHNP will work alongside a multidisciplinary behavioral health team comprised of licensed mental health counselors, social workers, and case managers in service of NOHN’s mission to provide whole-person healthcare services, accessible to everyone in our community. In collaboration with nearly two dozen full-scope primary care providers, the PMHNP will provide outpatient psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management of residents of Clallam County who call NOHN their medical home.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Practice of Psychiatry
- Shall devote his/her full and undivided time, attention, knowledge and skills to the performance of his/her duties providing psychiatric patient care for a minimum of 40 hours per week (32 hours a week of scheduled clinic time) and such additional time as may be necessary to perform his/her duties.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- evaluation,
- treatment,
- medication review,
- consultation,
- plan review,
- and record documentation including timely billing documentation
- Shall maintain positive patient relationships
- Shall treat patients in a positive manner, much like they would be like to be treated for a service rendered to self
- Ensuring that patients will be seen on a timely basis when appointments are made,
- Educating patients regarding their treatment and medications,
- Listening to patient concerns,
- Ensuring confidentiality,
- Displaying respect and presenting a professional appearance.
- Psychiatric ARNP will respond on a timely basis to patient issues, including emergency situations.
- Nurse Practitioner shall work a regular rotating four (4) day clinic work schedule as assigned. Scheduled work hours may be adjusted to accommodate patient access.
Process Optimization & Quality Improvement
- Partner with clinic management and leadership to identify and implement innovative solutions for operational challenges and process improvements within the behavioral health department.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on enhancing staff satisfaction, improving the patient experience, and promoting the fiscal sustainability of our behavioral health services.
- Actively participate in quality assurance activities, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices to elevate patient care standards.

Qualifications
- Education: MSN required, with certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Experience: Experience in outpatient clinic preferred but not required.
- Skills: Proficiency in EHR systems, excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, cultural sensitivity.
- Language: Requires good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to speak and read the English language.
Physical Demands:
- May require prolonged standing and sitting.
- May require prolonged use of fine motor skills to support direct patient care
