About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator to support and maintain OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Program (RMP) compliance within our facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, integrity, and continuous improvement of refrigeration and process safety systems while partnering closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, implement, organize, and maintain facility OSHA PSM and EPA RMP programs in accordance with Tyson EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a key point of communication between refrigeration operators, facility leadership, corporate EHS, Engineering Services, and other stakeholders regarding PSM/RMP program status and needs.
  • Track and monitor compliance activities including:
    • Mechanical Integrity (MI)
    • Compliance audits
    • Process Hazard Analyses (PHA)
    • Incident investigations
    • EHS action items and recommendations
  • Keep facility leadership and Tyson EHS leadership informed of compliance status, action plans, and ongoing initiatives.
  • Lead monthly PSM committee meetings with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, refrigeration, safety, and plant leadership.
  • Maintain PSM communication boards and distribute committee meeting updates and documentation.
  • Support and facilitate the Management of Change (MOC) process for refrigeration and related projects.
  • Conduct and support incident investigations and corrective action tracking.
  • Maintain accurate, organized documentation related to all 14 elements of the Tyson PSM and RMP programs.
  • Assist refrigeration leadership with budgeting and planning related to PSM-covered processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of PSM-related training initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Vocational training or additional coursework beyond high school preferred

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Experience working with spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications required
  • Proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Outlook
    • PowerPoint
    • Template creation and document development
  • Experience with SAP-PM and AutoCAD is a plus

Communication & Leadership Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally during OSHA and EPA audits
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
