Summary

Public Safety Emergency Communications Center (PSECC) Operators monitor video surveillance, card access, alarm and Emergency communication systems, answer calls for service and dispatches and/or notify appropriate personnel and conduct hardware inspections, facility security surveys and lighting inspections.

This position is a 24/7/365 function. You will be required to work on multiple shifts (day, mids, and nights) that will include holidays, evenings, and weekends. Shifts are assigned via a seniority based shift bid process, as a result you must be able to work in any shift assigned with a 2 week shift change notification. Occasional travel to work sites on-campus and other locations around the state required.

  • Monitoring Surveillance - 50%
  • Monitor Radio Traffic and Dispatch Resources - 20%
  • Hardware Inspection - 5%
  • After Hours and Security Operations - 20%
  • Other duties - 5%
