Job Description

PSC Facilities Manager - Clifton, NJ, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Plans, schedules, and directs staff of skilled and unskilled trade employees in the maintenance of the PSC, RRL and Logistic hub buildings and grounds throughout the business unit. Creates and manages a project schedule to improve the PSC image by upgrading sites to the Quest Diagnostics standards. Ensures that all utility systems are fully operational and inspected in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules. Prepares cost estimates for building renovations or space allocations, and inspects completed work for conformance to specifications. Works in conjunction with the Corporate Facilities/Property to manage leases, negotiates existing and new leases including tenant improvements.

Pay range: $88,750 - $159,850 / year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to all Patient Service and Logistics Directors regarding facilities services.
  • Responsibility for the annual renovation projects throughout the business unit utilizing the standards set forth by Quest Diagnostics.
  • Coordinates cross-functional meetings with local management and Six Sigma on the appropriate flow and design for each facility.
  • Coordinates and oversees relocation of furniture or equipment to designated areas within established time and project deadlines.
  • Maintains a physical inventory of unused furniture, lab equipment and work area related goods in the company storage facility.
  • Directs and coordinates with outside contractors for maintaining the grounds and for building exterior.
  • Negotiates leases with landlord
  • Coordinates Fair Market Value for new proposed facility rentals
  • Coordinates all activities required for remodeling facilities including overseeing outside contractors.
  • Ensures remodeling of facilities are completed within the time frame of the schedule and within budget
  • Indirectly coordinate/supervise all projects including leases and renovations with the appropriate Patient Service and RRL Directors across the business unit.



Qualifications:

Required Work Experience:

  • 5 to 8 years in a similar role
  • Project Management experience
  • Managerial facilities operations experience
  • CAD program and design experience

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Position requires travel
  • Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds
  • May require extended periods of focus
  • May require extended periods of sitting or standing
  • Ability to manage stress
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high volume setting

Knowledge:
