The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) is seeking a detail-oriented individual to serve as Attorney Support & Accessibility Assistant in the Appeals Division. This position provides essential support to a visually impaired IDES Attorney by reading and summarizing case materials, assisting with document preparation, and organizing hearing-related information. Duties include entering data into IDES systems, reviewing scanned documents and using specialized software to support the Attorney in conducting unemployment insurance benefit hearings and preparing decisions.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to legal casework and hearing processes—ideal for individuals interested in law or administrative hearings.
