The Regional Quality Lead is responsible for driving quality excellence across production facilities and supplier networks within the assigned region. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, implements quality systems, and leads cross-functional initiatives to enhance product quality and operational performance.

Syngenta Manufacturing Quality Support

  • Provide Quality support to multiple manufacturing sites within the region
  • Lead RCA and CAPA investigations and ensure robust preventive actions
  • Ensure compliance with QMS, EPA/ISO, and other regulatory standards
  • Monitor and improve key quality metrics (Customer Complaints, RFT, Internal NCs, Quality Incidents, etc.)
  • Support incident investigations and escalate Quality risks appropriately
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects, waste, and COPQ

Supplier Quality Management

  • Define and verify supplier Quality requirements for materials, packaging, and intermediates
  • Manage supplier qualification, audits, performance monitoring, and risk assessment
  • Lead supplier audits, TQRs, and capability assessments
  • Investigate supplier-related nonconformances and lead RCA/CAPA
  • Collaborate with Procurement, PT&E, and P&S on change control and supplier improvements
  • Ensure strong Quality agreements, specifications, and inspection plans

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Ensure deployment of Regional CP QMS standards across supported sites and suppliers
  • Support Regional Quality initiatives
  • Ensure audit readiness and strengthen documentation and data integrity
  • Align with Reliance document management and Quality governance requirements
  • Conduct internal audits, assessments, and readiness reviews

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with Production, R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
  • Represent Quality in FF&P Regional Tier meetings
  • Build Quality capability across sites, including coaching and mentoring

Continuous Improvement & Performance Management

  • Apply PDCA, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Harmonize processes, documentation, and QMS elements
  • Monitor trends and develop proactive improvement plans

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality, Business or related field
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing Quality role
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/GMP/QMS systems and regulatory standards (EPA, FDA, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in RCA/CAPA, auditing, and continuous improvement

Preferred

  • CQE, CQA, or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing Quality role
  • Experience in crop protection, chemical, or pharmaceutical regulated manufacturing
  • Proven experience in site Quality management, Supplier Quality management and Auditing
  • Strong cross-functional influence and communication skills
