JOB LOCATION

Department of Pediatrics – 2301 Erwin Rd, Durham

We are seeking a Provider Support Assistant to perform administrative responsibilities in support of one or more physician(s) and/or advanced provider(s).

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative assistance to 8 departmental faculty within assigned areas to support the accomplishment of program objectives.

  • Schedule and maintain calendar of appointments, meetings, and travel itineraries, and coordinate related arrangements.

  • Schedule and coordinate arrangements for seminars and conferences and establish appointments, meetings, and speaking engagements for faculty.

  • Submit reimbursements for travel to meetings and for memberships.

  • Clinical Scheduling to include schedule of Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor visits as well as scheduling for Duke Pediatric Nephrology at Greensboro clinics.

  • Organize and maintain divisional or departmental files of records, reports and correspondence required for reference and efficient operation of division or department; maintain up-to-date management and procedural manuals, directives and related records; interpret new directives, policies and regulations and inform appropriate personnel of changes.

  • Schedule and coordinate arrangements for seminars and conferences and establish appointments, meetings and speaking engagements for supervisor; attend meetings to take minutes, provide information and serve as a resource person; interview callers; answer questions concerning departmental or divisional activities and transmit instructions and/or information to and from.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • One year of clerical, office support, or related experience is required; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Current knowledge and experience with computer systems such as Outlook, Concur, Epic and OnBase Faxes, but also MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organization, and multi-tasking skills.

JOB HOURS

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
