Job Description

The Provider Engagement Manager I owns relationships with a portfolio of provider practices in an assigned territory. Working within the Vatica Health program and the broader Cozeva organization, this person partners with practice leaders, clinicians and staff to strengthen program adoption, provider satisfaction, and quality and risk adjustment performance. The role uses performance data to identify opportunities, recommend practical improvements and help practices act on them. This is an individual contributor role with independent ownership of assigned practice relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day relationships with an assigned portfolio of provider practices, including larger practices and accounts with multiple stakeholders or complex performance needs. Build trust with practice executives, providers and staff.
  • Review provider participation, quality and risk adjustment performance; present clear, data-informed insights and recommendations to practice stakeholders in virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Develop and execute practice-specific engagement and performance improvement plans; influence adoption of program workflows and follow through on agreed actions.
  • Identify risks to participation, satisfaction and retention early. Resolve routine concerns independently and coordinate timely escalation of issues that require leadership or specialized support.
  • Partner with Clinical Operations on record preparation and practice workflows, and with Sales and Customer Success on transitions, account priorities and provider needs.
  • Coordinate responses to provider questions and concerns across teams, keeping practice stakeholders informed through resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of practice interactions, commitments and progress in Salesforce and other applicable tools.
  • Support provider education on relevant Vatica Health offerings and, as the business evolves, develop familiarity with Cozeva quality capabilities.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. At least three years of provider-facing account management, provider engagement, provider relations, or comparable experience.
  • Experience working with a large health system supporting provider practices or managing provider relationships.
  • Working knowledge of value-based care, quality measures, risk adjustment and Medicare programs, including HEDIS and Stars where relevant.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio independently, build relationships across executive, clinical and practice teams, and influence action without direct authority.
  • Ability to analyze and present performance information, turn findings into practical recommendations, and communicate effectively in virtual and in-person settings.
  • Ability to visit provider practices in the assigned territory. Travel of up to 25% is expected.

Preferred qualifications

  • Additional experience with multi-site practices, medical groups, health plans, accountable care organizations (ACOs) or other value-based care organizations.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM, Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
