Your Role
As a Prototype Engineer, you bridge the gap between product development and manufacturing. You will support mechanical design activities, build and validate prototypes, drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) improvements, and help successfully introduce new products into production.
What You'll Do
- Support mechanical design and CAD development.
- Build and troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical prototypes.
- Develop test fixtures and proof-of-concept solutions.
- Support product validation, testing, and analysis.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Participate in pilot builds and production readiness reviews.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product industrialization activities.
- Coordinate engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in product development, prototyping, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with prototype builds and product industrialization.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, injection molding, die casting, and machining.
- Experience with CAD tools such as Siemens NX and/or SolidWorks.
- Understanding of DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, and engineering change management.
- Strong hands-on, problem-solving mindset and a passion for building and improving products.
- Experience in EV charging, power electronics, industrial equipment, or automotive products is a plus.
