Job Description

Key Responsibilities

The Protection & Resilience Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the entity’s resilience and safety framework to ensure preparedness, response, and recovery from disruptive events in the local Business Unit.

This role also combines outsourcing governance and third-party risk management into one integrated function, ensuring that local third-party arrangements are identified, assessed, classified, approved, documented, monitored, and reviewed in a consistent, risk-based, and proportionate manner.

Through this role, you will have the main following responsibilities:

  • Lead and continuously improve Business Continuity Management activities, including business impact analyses, continuity planning, testing, and governance.
  • Maintain and enhance Crisis Management and Emergency Response frameworks, including simulations, drills, and response coordination.
  • Coordinate Global Incident Management activities, ensuring timely escalation, reporting, remediation, and lessons learned.
  • Support the implementation of Protective Security measures, including physical security, personnel safety, and risk assessments.
  • Oversee Third-Party Risk Management and Outsourcing governance across the full lifecycle, from onboarding and due diligence to ongoing monitoring and exit.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations related to resilience, outsourcing, and third-party risk.
  • Drive continuous improvement through effective governance, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and awareness initiatives.
  • Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use.
  • Act as a key liaison between business, risk, compliance, IT, security, HR, facilities, and external providers to strengthen organizational resilience.


What You Bring

  • Excellent command of Polish and English, both written and spoken, is a mandatory requirement for this role.
  • University degree in Risk Management, Internal Control, Operations, Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in operational resilience, business continuity, crisis management, outsourcing governance, third-party risk management, security, or a related area.
  • Strong understanding of operational resilience, business continuity, crisis management, and workplace safety frameworks.
  • Experience in vendor management, outsourcing governance, third-party risk management, or similar functions within a regulated environment.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements, audit processes, and supervisory expectations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a structured and process-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations and support crisis response activities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including interaction with senior stakeholders.

  • Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

Nice to have

  • Certifications in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, or Risk Management (e.g., ISO 22301, CBCI, CTPRP or equivalent).
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience within the insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with outsourcing regulations and third-party risk management frameworks.
