Your responsibility as a Protection Officer is to assist the Senior Protection Officer in ensuring the round-the-clock implementation of MCB’s security framework by delivering frontline physical security services, including security controls, monitoring, access management, customer engagement and incident response, to minimise risks to employees, customers, assets, facilities and business operations.

We are looking for:

Job Vacancy: Protection Officer

In this role you will:

  • Ensure the effective delivery of physical security operations, including patrols, guarding, monitoring and access control, to protect employees, customers, visitors, assets, facilities and business operations;
  • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day security matters and provide professional, welcoming and customer-focused assistance to employees, customers, visitors, contractors and other stakeholders;
  • Monitor security systems, alarms and events, identify anomalies and take appropriate action or escalate matters to the Senior Protection Officer in line with established procedures;
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, safety concerns and suspicious activities, collaborating with colleagues, service providers and emergency responders to minimise risks and operational disruption;
  • Maintain accurate and timely security records, incident reports and operational information to support investigations, regulatory requirements, compliance and informed decision-making;
  • Identify security vulnerabilities, equipment faults and maintenance requirements, and support corrective actions to ensure that security systems, facilities and equipment remain operationally effective;
  • Promote compliance with security policies, access requirements, safe working practices and professional standards, while maintaining operational readiness through training, exercises and continuous adaptation to evolving threats, technologies and business needs.

We are looking for candidates who have at least:

Either

  • A School Certificate (SC);
  • 2 years' professional experience in Security operations, including expertise in monitoring Security Systems.

Or

  • 5 years' professional experience in Security operations, including expertise in monitoring Security Systems.

And

  • BTEC Level 3 in Security Management would be an advantage.

A combination of both qualification & experience will be considered.
