Your Role:

As a Prospector, you are the "Front-line Hunter" of our global purchasing pipeline. You will use market insights to scan leads, qualify suppliers, and initiate relationships to open new doors for our global buying process. This role offers a clear career path to becoming an International Buyer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Prospecting: Identify new suppliers via the internet, trade fairs, magazines, and international databases.
• Supplier Assessment: Evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, time, quality, and reliability.
• Work with Internationals: Engage with suppliers from various countries, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Coordinate with Internal Teams: Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to ensure smooth procurement and delivery processes.
• Data Management: Build and maintain qualified supplier files for the global database.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

Skills and Competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Trading, Procurement management, or related field.
• Experience: We strongly encourage candidates with a proven track record in Sourcing, Sales or Trading to apply. Specifically, experience in Outbound Sales, Business Development, Sourcing Specialist, or Market Development is highly relevant and valued.
• Commercial Mindset: A strong understanding of commercial principles and the ability to think strategically about procurement and sales.
• English Proficiency: Excellent English-speaking skills to communicate effectively with international suppliers.
• Excel Skills: Effective use of Excel or similar tools to manage data sheets and stock information accurately.
