You will help lead a team of proposal engineers to develop technical and commercial proposals that align with Rockwell Automation's goals and customer needs.
You will report to REGIONAL PROPOSAL MANAGER, AP.
Your Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire proposal development process, from initial planning and scoping to final delivery and presentation to the customer.
Lead a team of 5 - 8 proposal engineers and drive functional excellence in developing comprehensive and Technical and Commercial Proposals following the industry standards and internal policy compliance.
Develops high-quality proposals within the framework of Rockwell Automation's business and financial goals while adhering to internal policies and industry standards to ensure delivery.
Provide guidance to the proposal engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality proposals and serving as a trusted proposal/pricing advisor to the sales organization and distributor.
Act as the subject matter expert for the customer, sales organization, and Business Unit. You will leverage their specialized understanding of related products and comprehensive delivery offerings from RA, partners, and competitors in designated focus areas.
Support serves as a technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology, products, services, and solutions. This support is focused within their area(s) of expertise. They articulate value and estimations, and effectively position Rockwell Automation's offerings and solutions to customers.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Bachelor's in Electrical / Instrumentation / Control / Electronics / Chemical or any relevant engineering qualification
10+ years of relevant experience in automation engineering on Control Systems / PLCs (e.g. Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa),
Have 8 or more years of experience in Proposals and Commercials areas.
Microsoft Word, Microsoft excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
Command of English (written and spoken).
The ability to travel 25% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Good reading experience reviewing technical RFQ/RFI/RFP documents
Demonstrated understanding of larger Rockwell Automation application value. This includes knowledge in Automation products, such as Control Systems/PLC, Standard Drives, Software, and Networks. Additionally, it encompasses other process/manufacturing applications and knowledge of third-party products.
Ability to work with and gain confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a collaborative, matrixed partner organization.
