Proposal Specialist Lead – Procurement and Proposal Management (PPM) | Commercial Excellence

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Proposal Specialist Lead, you will:

  • Lead and mentora team of Proposal Specialists, providing coaching, cross-training, and day-to-day support to enhance performance and professional development.
  • Manage workflow and project assignments, aligning with the Manager of Proposal Resources to ensure balanced workloads and timely delivery across multiple concurrent solicitations.
  • Serve as Site Leadfor the Manila-based team, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Develop and reviewcompelling, compliant responses to formal solicitations (RFPs/RFQs/RFIs), ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and alignment with client needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionallywith Sales, Legal, Solutions Consultants, and Subject Matter Experts to gather input, lead kick-off calls, and drive consensus throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Leverage Qvidianand other tools to efficiently retrieve, adapt, and deliver standardized content while maintaining rigorous quality control and compliance standards.
  • Apply AI-driven technologiesto streamline review cycles and project management—ensuring human-in-the-loop oversight to mitigate risk and uphold integrity.
  • Enhance the proposal knowledge baseby contributing to the development and refinement of reusable content and Q&A pairs in coordination with the Knowledge Manager.
  • Report on proposal metricsand analyze performance data to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased win rates.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Proposal Specialist Leadif you have the following required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
  • Minimum of three years of experience in proposal development, specifically responding to formal solicitations for corporate, government, or law firm clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, or leading team membersin a proposal or business operations environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong editing capabilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of building effective working relationships across functions and levels.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)and aptitude for mastering new technologies, including proposal automation platforms.
  • Ability to take ownership of complex projects and deliver accurate, high-quality results on time.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, and discretion, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential client information.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Three or more years of team leadership or management experience within a proposal management function.
  • Experience supporting complex or strategic solicitations requiring advanced coordination and response planning.
  • Membership in a professional organization such as the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP)
  • Hands-on experience with proposal management softwaresuch as Qvidian or Loopio.
