MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Proposal Orals Director and Coach to join our Proposal Operations team in Herndon, VA. This is a hybrid position with in-office requirements for orals solution development and team rehearsals.

MANTECH’s Proposal Operations is a centralized, enterprise-wide team that designs, manages, and executes proposal best practices across the entire business development lifecycle, fostering a collaborative work environment. This specific Orals Director and Coach position is crucial for success, focusing on developing winning presentations for government clients, training teams, and rehearsing presenters to deliver compliant and compelling oral presentations in various government-prescribed formats.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing winning orals presentations for government clients—including live, virtual, and recorded video formats—along with accompanying scripts, slides, and talking points.
  • Training and guiding proposal teams on the orals presentation process.
  • Managing orals presentation schedules and deliverables.
  • Conducting orals presentation rehearsals.
  • Providing constructive feedback and coaching to presenters.
  • Translating complex technical information into understandable content.
  • Collaborating with proposal teams and subject matter experts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of direct Orals Coach experience and 10+ years total of proposal management, sales, capture, or business development experience with a federal contractor.
  • Demonstrated success in developing winning orals presentations for government clients.
  • Ability to manage orals requirements on multiple proposals in parallel and succeed in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Lead high-stakes, multi-million dollar oral presentations where deadlines are non-negotiable.
  • Establish and enforce the orals battle rhythm, ensuring cross-functional teams (Tech, Management, Pricing) adhere to strict milestones
  • Highly organized with a meticulous eye for detail and a proven track record of meeting project milestones on time/schedule.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information to meet Government requirements effectively.
  • Experience working with and leading diverse teams and subject matter experts in a dynamic and fluid environment.
  • Proficiency in presentation software and tools.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities, company initiatives, and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience architecting orals presentation solutions for large, complex bids
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Communication, Public Relations, and/or Marketing
  • Association of Proposal Management Professional (APMP) Certification(s)
  • Shipley Certification(s)

Clearance Requirements

  • Must have a current/active Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
