Damen Marine Components (DMC) ontwerpt en produceert een reeks premium systemen die belangrijk zijn voor de voortstuwing, het manoeuvreren en de prestaties van schepen werkzaam in diverse markten in de maritieme industrie. Hieronder vallen kustvaart, diepzee, offshore, zeevaart, binnenvaart, marineschepen en superjachten. Onze bekendste producten zijn straalbuizen, lieren, bedieningssystemen en stuur- en roersystemen.
DMC biedt een exclusief 24/7 servicenetwerk. Met verschillende professionele services en een wereldwijd netwerk zorgt Damen Marine Components ervoor dat de totale stuurinstallatie van de klant in topconditie blijft. DMC is onderdeel van de Damen Shipyards Group.
De functie
De Proposal Engineer richt zich op het technisch ondersteunen van commerciële activiteiten en vormt de schakel tussen klant, sales en techniek. De functie omvat technische, commerciële en analytische werkzaamheden, waarbij klantvragen worden vertaald naar technisch haalbare en commercieel aantrekkelijke oplossingen.
Als inhoudelijk aanspreekpunt voor klanten en collega’s ben je als Proposal Engineer betrokken bij het volledige traject, van het eerste klantverzoek tot en met de levering van producten uit het portfolio van DMC, zoals bijvoorbeeld straalbuizen, stuurinrichtingen, roeren, hydraulische systemen en lieren. In samenwerking met de betreffende Sales Area en productgroep worden aanbiedingen ontwikkeld die aansluiten bij de klantbehoefte en de mogelijkheden van DMC.
Daarnaast draagt de Proposal Engineer bij aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe producten, de optimalisatie van bestaande ontwerpen en het beheer van het productportfolio.
