Job Description
CVP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Coordinator to join our dynamic corporate growth team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to launch a career at the intersection of government contracting, strategic communications, and business development. The Proposal Coordinator will work closely with the Proposal Manager to support all stages of the proposal development lifecycle, from solicitation release through final submission, in response to government sources sought, Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
In this role, you will help produce compliant, compelling, and clearly written proposals that directly address solicitation requirements, while also supporting broader growth activities including Business Development and Capture Management.
Responsibilities
Proposal Development and Writing
- Review RFPs and related solicitation documents to understand, document, and communicate technical and business volume requirements, customer specifications, contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions
- Complete storyboard templates for proposal sections and serve as a key content contributor across management, past performance, personnel, executive summary, and other proposal sections
- Consolidate input from multiple authors and reviewers, editing for content, clarity, consistency, and style
- Perform volume lead and writing assignments as needed, interfacing with section writers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to coordinate and prepare response documents
Production and Formatting
- Perform desktop publishing using Microsoft Word and other tools such as Adobe Acrobat to ensure proposal documents are properly formatted, visually appealing, and compliant with solicitation requirements
- Create and review PowerPoint presentations, including formal kickoff decks and other supporting materials
- Copyedit and produce RFI and RFP responses as well as white papers
- Ensure proper formatting, version control, and document standards are maintained across all submission materials
Coordination and Administration
- Support meeting logistics for proposal kickoffs and color reviews, providing structured feedback and edits on draft documents throughout the development process
- Manage distribution of proposal data calls to subcontractors and respond to data calls from prime contractors as needed
- Administer and organize Microsoft Teams sites to keep proposal content, templates, and team resources structured and accessible
- Ensure on-time delivery of all proposals and document lessons learned to support continuous process improvement
Market Research and Growth Support
- Conduct research into potential opportunities in the government contracting market relevant to CVP's capabilities and offerings
- Support pipeline administration, capture strategy development, and messaging that highlights CVP's strengths
- Facilitate solutioning discussions in collaboration with Capture Managers and leads
- Assist with other growth activities and assigned duties as needed, including project management and technical writing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, English, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
- Effective organizational, analytical, and time management abilities
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while managing multiple priorities
- Comfort working under pressure with tight deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word
Preferred
- Familiarity with the federal government contracting environment or policy landscape
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, or SharePoint/Teams
- Academic or internship experience in proposal writing, technical writing, research, or communications
