The Property Staff Accountant assists in the day-to-day maintenance of Property Accounting related to general ledger accounts by using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. This accounting position will provide exposure to a wide range of departments and financial processes, ultimately supporting a higher-level accountant in the duties outlined below. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of accounting concepts, guidelines, principles, and practices, to be able to apply GAAP to oil and gas Accounting.

Fixed Assets – Accounting & Reconciliation
Monthly Accrual Processes
Trains with co-workers on other aspects of Property Accounting: Non-Producing Leaseholds, Work-In-Progress (WIP), Producing Properties, Depreciation concepts and Lease Accounting.
Assists with other duties related to the monthly financial closing schedule.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
Experienced in Microsoft Excel and knowledgeable with formulas and pivot tables.
Previous oil and gas experience.
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
