Job Title

Property Research AnalystThis role plays a key part in supporting the appraisal process by conducting in-depth property research, gathering relevant market data, and preparing initial data entry for appraisal reports. The Property Research Analyst will work closely with appraisers to ensure that all necessary information is collected and accurately recorded, enabling efficient and timely appraisals. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining discretion in handling sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Research:Conduct thorough research on properties using various data sources such as public records, MLS databases, tax assessor websites, and other relevant resources. Investigate property characteristics, zoning information, sales history, market trends, and other factors that influence property value.

  • Data Collection & Analysis:Gather and organize data on comparable properties, market conditions, and other variables that impactvaluations. Summarize findings in a clear, concise manner for use by appraisers.

  • Data Entry & Report Preparation:Assist in the preparation of appraisal reports by entering researched data into appraisal software, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Support appraisers in formatting and structuring reports according to company standardsand preparing current market reports as needed

  • Market Trend Analysis:Keep up to datewith local real estate market trends and regulatory changes that may affect property values. Analyze market shifts and report findings to senior appraisers.

  • Collaboration & Support:Work closely with appraisers to ensure all required property data is collected, documented, and available for review. Provide any additionalresearch or data analysis needed during the appraisal process.

  • Record Management:Maintainand organize property files, research notes, and databases in a systematic and efficient manner, ensuring quick access to information as needed.

  • Quality Control:Review collected data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Address any discrepancies or missing information before submittingit to the appraiser.

  • Client Interaction (if applicable):In some cases, interact with clients, property owners, or other stakeholders to gather additionalproperty-specific details or clarification.

  • A minimum of 1+ year of experience in real estate research and/or market analysisrequired

  • Experience in data entry/data management and time series analysis/forecasting

AdditionalEligibilityQualifications

  • Strong data software applications skills

  • Strongproficiencywith MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel)

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to meet goals andobjectives

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
