Job Description

Job Location Cruz Bay Watersports at The Westin Resort and Villas - St. John, US Virgin Islands 00831 Salary Range $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly

Travel Percentage None

  • Organize and supervise daily property operations.
  • Manage daily setup and breakdown of beach equipment.
  • Provide continuous training to staff and guests on the use of watersports equipment in coordination with the STJ Charter Operations Manager.
  • Monitor and enforce all standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure staff deliver a high-quality guest experience.
  • Assist in assigning and delegating daily tasks to the watersports and office teams.
  • Provide safety briefings to guests entering the water.
  • Identify and report maintenance needs for watersports equipment.
  • Perform light equipment maintenance and make recommendations for replacements as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment and motivate staff to achieve sales goals, deliver superior guest service, and promote RED/CBW.
  • Assist with Hobie Cat and sailing lessons and training sessions.
  • Assist with dinghy training and maintain accurate records of all evolutions.
  • Promote regular (weekly/monthly) staff training in all aspects of the watersports center, including sales, operations, and safety.
  • Adjust work schedules for call-outs and emergency time-off.
  • Serve as Property Operations Manager in their absence.
  • Operate the Tour Desk and manage retail functions.
  • Handle vessel clearances for international trips.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Minimum

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution (Preferred).
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or relevant work experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to walk on various types of surfaces including rough terrain, sitting, standing, maintaining balance, on the beach, in the water, and working alone.
  • Must be able to work various work settings such as exposure to sunlight and outside temperature.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all persons contacted during the work.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations and safe practices.
  • Ability to operate assigned equipment, read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.
  • Must be able to operate with little or no supervision.
  • Must be willing to work holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
  • Strong ability to use computer systems.
