Live on the Oregon Coast (with housing included at no cost to you!) and lead the daily operations of a beautiful boutique motel and RV property.

As the Property Operations Manager, you are the trusted onsite operator for a technology-enabled boutique hospitality property where your organization, accountability, and leadership ensure seamless daily operations and guest experience.

This is not a traditional hotel manager position. Here, you have the autonomy to manage a well-established property supported by documented systems, operating procedures, automation, and an experienced housekeeping team. Hospitality experience is not required. If you have successfully led people, are an excellent and organized troubleshooter and are comfortable using technology, this opportunity could be your perfect fit.

Property Operations Manager – Your Job Duties

You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the boutique motel and RV property (10 motel rooms and 8 RV spaces), serving as the onsite manager.

You will:

• Send daily texts to guests with check in and check out procedures
• Monitor guest text line for any guest needs that need to be addressed (ie: maintenance issue, question)
• Process reservations, cancellations, and guest scheduling through property management software
• Oversee and lead housekeeping staff (staff of 3 to 5 housekeepers depending on season of the year) – oversee their scheduling, hiring and quality control inspections of cleaning work
• Monitor inventory levels and order operating supplies before inventory runs low
• Coordinate local vendors including landscapers, maintenance providers, and repair contractors
• Address minor property maintenance needs and coordinate larger repairs when necessary
• Follow established SOPs, checklists, training documents, and Loom videos to maintain consistent operations

Your Schedule:

Plan to work around 28-30 hours per week, on average, over 7 days a week (every day). Daily hours depend on property activities and maintenance items that arise.

Your Success Looks Like:

Once you are fully ramped up, you are independently running the hotel operations including overseeing the housekeeping and guest schedule. You are reporting a status update to the hotel owner, and operations are running smoothly.

Property Operations Manager – You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit)

You have:

• Ability and excitement to live onsite at the property as resident property management
• Troubleshooting skills – you are an excellent troubleshooter and problem solver
• Comfort with technology – you have used technology, MS office systems, email, phone systems, and can troubleshoot guest technology challenges
• Experience following documented procedures while exercising sound judgment when situations require flexibility
• Comfort overseeing the housekeeping staff – managing the activities, schedule, overseeing quality

You might be:

• Retired, former military service member
• Experienced with property management, vacation rentals, hospitality, hotels, motels, RV parks, self-storage, facilities management, military leadership, or small business operations
• Experienced with leading or supervising hourly employees in hospitality, property management, construction, facilities, trades, retail, service, or another hands-on operating environment
• Experience using hospitality or property management software (Cloudbeds)

Property Operations Manager – Benefits for You

Your base salary will be $50,000 to $65,000 depending on experience, plus included housing.

You will be provided on site housing with the on-site manager unit – a beautifully remodeled and fully furnished onsite 2-story two-bedroom, two-bath manager residence with kitchenette, living room, office with desk, utilities (water, sewer and gas) and internet, premium television included, right on the beautiful Oregon coast.
