A day in the life

As a Real Estate & Customer Experience Manager, this role supports a Customer Experience Team responsible for customers across 2 million square feet of industrial buildings in the Portland market. The role exists to strengthen customer relationships, support high-quality property operations, and connect customer needs with Prologis value-added products and services. This role works with a local office of 13 staff members, customers, vendors, internal team members, and market leadership to coordinate move-ins, move-outs, inspections, repairs, lease administration, service agreements, and financial reporting. Success requires consistent communication, portfolio visibility, and proactive issue resolution across multiple properties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage customer relationships by providing clear communication on lease terms, conditions, responsibilities, move-in and move-out processes, inspections, repairs, and maintenance coordination.
  • Anticipate customer needs and deliver proactive solutions that support customer satisfaction and portfolio performance.
  • Identify additional revenue opportunities by aligning Prologis value-added products and services, including Prologis Essentials, to customer needs.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve customer and property matters.
  • Use technical tools, including Salesforce, to gather data and metrics, track customer activity, and develop customer insights.
  • Apply lease analysis and lease administration skills to support customer communication, portfolio decisions, and issue resolution.
  • Negotiate and manage competitively bid service agreements and support safe, well-maintained properties while meeting budget and financial goals.

Building blocks for success

Required:

  • 5+ years of industrial/commercial real estate or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple properties.
  • Current Real Estate sales license in Oregon and Washington, or ability to obtain required license within six months of employment. The company will cover relevant associated costs and consider reasonable time spent acquiring the license as part of work hours.
  • Ability to deliver proactive and responsive customer service to a diverse customer base.
  • Lease analysis and lease administration skills.
  • Ability to process data and complete recurring variance reports.
  • Ability to work extended hours when required and participate in on-call emergency response, with respect for individual needs and work-life balance.

Preferred:

  • Experience with budgeting cycles and CAM reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with property transitions, portfolio acquisitions, or company mergers.
  • Experience using Salesforce to gather data, metrics, and customer insights.
  • Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.

Hiring Salary Range of: $86,000 - $116,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
