Property Maintenance Technician Trainer - Las Vegas, Nevada
Approximately 30% travel to California and Texas
Pay Range: $62,000 to $80,000
We are seeking a Technical Maintenance Trainer to support the development and certification of maintenance teams across Nevada, California, and Texas. This role is ideal for someone who is highly skilled in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair and who also enjoys teaching, coaching, and building strong technical teams. You will deliver hands on training, create clear Standard Operating Procedures, and support the growth and retention of maintenance professionals across multiple regions.
What You Will Do
- Design and deliver training for HVAC systems including 410A and R22, plumbing, electrical panels, and common multifamily appliances
- Lead classroom, virtual, and hands on training sessions at apartment communities
- Facilitate and proctor industry certifications including EPA and CAMT
- Translate technical manuals into clear, checklist style Standard Operating Procedures
- Conduct skills assessments, track training progress, and provide coaching and remediation
- Develop train the trainer programs to certify senior technicians as internal trainers
- Maintain training calendars, documentation, and compliance records
- Stay current on industry trends, safety standards, and best practices
- Partner with regional maintenance leaders and onsite teams to identify training needs and improve service efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems including 410A and R22, electrical systems, and multifamily appliances
- Valid EPA Type II or EPA Universal Certification
- Bilingual English and Spanish required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel approximately 30% of the time including overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience in adult education, classroom instruction, or virtual training
- Trade certification or Associate degree in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing
- Experience with Entrata or similar property management software
- Certifications such as CPLP or instructional design credentials
