About the role

Working with our Property + Project (Energy & Infrastructure) team the key responsibilities of this role include:

1. Working in the Property Team, that has a focus on land access and engagement, negotiating and advising on a blend of documents that record interests in land and provide general property consultancy advice (no residential conveyancing)
2. Working on and running your own matters autonomously
3. Assisting with mentoring and settling work of less experienced team members and supporting them to develop skills and confidence in their work
4. Nurturing our current clients and assisting to attract new clients. This is a people first role, and you will be building relationships with current and new clients every day
5. Supporting Law Squared’s business development by working closely with our Brand + Engagement Team on events, campaigns and executing new ideas to reach new clients in the Property Law space

About you

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a talented lawyer ready to join an innovative and compelling alternative to the traditional firm. The ideal candidate will:

• have 5+ PQE experience working in property law;
• enjoy both being on the tools doing the legal work and driving business development and nurturing important client relationships;
• have exceptional communication skills: we regularly negotiate commercial and legal terms and you need to be confident to pick up the phone and speak to our client’s position;
• have the ability to run their own matters and feels confident and capable in supervising junior team members work;
• be personable and ready, willing and able to work in a collaborative environment;
• be proficient in or excited and willing to learn different technology tools – we are a paperless and tech-enabled law firm; and
• be driven and passionate about the future of the legal profession and have a desire to contribute to our firm mission of doing things differently.
