The Property Appraiser 4 performs professional appraisal work requiring an understanding of State, County, and City laws and regulations and an understanding of the requirements and standards accepted and distributed by professional appraisal organizations. This position requires technical knowledge and skill in the application of the principles, practices, and techniques of appraisal. In addition, Property Appraisers 4 are required to be licensed or certified by the State. Property Appraisers 4 are responsible for conducting annual assessments of residential, commercial, personal, and industrial property to maintain the tax rolls so the local unit of government can levy and collect property taxes.
Prepares, completes, and maintains assessment rolls that show the assessed
Valid State of Michigan Operator License. Employees in this class will be required to provide and operate a motor vehicle on a reimbursed mileage basis
