This is a full‑time, site‑based role working closely with Operations, service delivery teams and contractors to ensure properties are safe, compliant and well maintained, and that tenancy processes are accurately managed.

You’ll be a great candidate for this role if you have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business Studies, Real Estate OR substantial demonstrated experience in a related role.
  • The ability to clearly explain tenancy rights and responsibilities to young tenants.
  • Sound working knowledge of RTA guidelines and compliance requirements under residential tenancy legislation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software and experience in working with computerised data management and record systems.
  • Experience liaising with internal staff and maintenance contractors to schedule repairs and maintenance.

This is an additional position, introduced to support our continued growth and expanding services in property and tenancy.

Given the work that we do there will be a few non-negotiables. You’ll need to be able to have, or obtain prior to commencement:

  • Working with Children Suitability Card [Blue Card].
  • National Police Check clearance.
  • Evidence of vaccination, immunity, or medical exemption for the following preventable diseases - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella [Chicken Pox]; and Pertussis [Whooping Cough].
  • Queensland Driver's License.

With a vision of New Futures for Young People, BYS is a non-profit organisation that has been working with homeless and vulnerable young people and young families in Brisbane and surrounding areas since 1977.

The organisation employs almost 100 staff and provides emergency assistance, housing, physical and mental health services and specialist programs for young women and young families. Through research and evaluation, we build knowledge to improve outcomes for young people and raise awareness of issues impacting vulnerable young people in our community.
