Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting real estate transactions and lease accounting. This includes working with the business to test leases for operating vs capital, ensuring compliance with ASC 842, and preparing lease disclosures. The role also supports selected capital project accounting reviews, including project closure and placement-in-service activities, and assists with process improvement efforts through the use of data and reporting tools.
The position is highly integrated in the monthly accounting close process and quarterly reporting process for leases and PP&E, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations and providing support for external reporting.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with lease accounting standards as required in ASC 842
- Supports the monthly close and quarterly reporting processes for leases, PP&E, and related project accounting activities, while ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Supports capital project accounting treatment reviews, project closure, and placement-in-service activities, as needed
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Degree with 3 or more years of experience in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, automation, AI-enabled productivity tools, or Power BI
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and controls
- Oracle Financials skills
- Microsoft Office skills (including Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Power BI, or similar reporting tool skills
- Ability to influence without authority
- Ability to work and interact with employees throughout all levels of the organization
- Process improvement oriented, with the ability to leverage data tools and techniques to improve efficiency

This role offers an annual salary range based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary we provide an annual bonus opportunity.
