The Job

The Commercial/Promotions Strategy Lead is responsible for developing and coordinating evo's commercial event calendar, creating the promotional strategies, offers, messaging, and integrated marketing plans that drive key revenue-generating events throughout the year, including annual sales, seasonal promotions, member activations, and other commercial events designed to deliver measurable business results.

Working closely with the Senior Director of .com, Head of Stores, Planning, Buying, Merchandising, and Brand Marketing teams, this role translates business priorities into customer-facing marketing strategies that drive revenue, inventory movement, and customer engagement. This role requires strong commercial judgment to balance revenue, gross margin, inventory productivity, and customer experience when developing promotional strategies and recommending commercial opportunities.

The Opportunity

  • Coordinates the annual commercial event calendar, including seasonal sales, promotional campaigns, member activations, and other key revenue-driving events.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to identify business priorities and recommend promotional strategies, campaign optimizations, and customer activation ideas that improve commercial performance and address evolving business needs.
  • Partner with Planning, Buying, and Merchandising to identify inventory opportunities and risks, developing commercial strategies that improve sell-through, gross margin, and inventory productivity while balancing revenue and customer objectives.
  • Use business performance, inventory health, category trends, customer demand, and financial results to determine where commercial marketing investment and promotional focus should be directed.
  • Develop compelling promotional strategies, customer offers, and integrated marketing plans that align with business objectives and deliver measurable results.
  • Develop clear marketing briefs that define campaign objectives, target audiences, messaging, promotional mechanics, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution with Creative, CRM, Performance Marketing, Retail, eCommerce, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure successful launch and execution of commercial campaigns.
  • Partner closely with Brand Marketing Managers to ensure commercial events complement seasonal storytelling, category campaigns, and brand initiatives.
  • Analyze campaign performance across revenue, gross margin, customer acquisition, retention, inventory productivity, and channel performance, translating insights into future commercial strategies and recommendations.
  • Continually evolve evo's commercial marketing approach by testing new promotional concepts, offer mechanics, loyalty initiatives, experiential campaigns, and ecosystem-driven customer activations.
  • Leverage evo's ecosystem—including Membership, Stores, Service, Rentals, evoTrip, Hotels, Experiences, and strategic partnerships—to create differentiated commercial experiences that strengthen customer engagement and drive business growth.
  • Monitor customer, industry, and competitor trends to identify innovative promotional opportunities and continuously strengthen evo's commercial marketing approach.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail, eCommerce, or consumer marketing preferred.
  • Experience developing promotional strategies, customer offers, and integrated marketing campaigns supported by commercial analysis and customer insights that drive measurable business results.
  • Experience collaborating across merchandising, planning, buying, creative, digital marketing, and cross-functional business teams.
  • Experience in omnichannel retail preferred.

The base wage for this role ranges from $90,000 to $95,000/yr Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience, and we also factor in internal pay equity. While the full range is listed for this role, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth in role.
