We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Wellington based operations team, working across high profile infrastructure and civil construction projects. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion, ensuring client satisfaction, cost efficiency, quality workmanship, and a strong safety culture.
This is a pivotal leadership role where your project management, people leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills will be key to delivering on time, on budgets, and to an exceptional standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement project methodology, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the team
Oversee contract compliance, manage variations and claims, and provide monthly financial reports
Lead the onsite construction team to deliver projects on time and within budget
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Oversee contract compliance, manage variations and claims, and provide monthly financial reports
Lead by example promoting and achieving Zero Harm goals

Project and/or Contract Management experience in Civil Engineering
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related disciplines
Proven experience in managing civil construction projects
Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, plant, and budgets
Track record of promoting a culture of safety, quality, and environmental excellence
Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
Previous Project Management experience in 3-waters and/or rail works valuable but not essential
