ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration, and project management services supporting mission-critical federal programs. We are seeking an experienced Project/Program Management Specialist to provide executive and program level administrative and operational support for the Mars Exploration Program (MEP) within Planetary Science Division at NASA Headquarters, SMD.

The Senior Project Support Specialist will provide business administrative and operational support for the Mars Exploration Program (MEP). The successful candidate will provide support in multiple areas including executive and program support, analysis, strategic communications, policy, and financial consulting.

Responsibilities
• Provide executive and program administrative support for actions, tasks, meetings, scheduling, and organizational operations.
• Integrate actions and schedule milestones across multiple elements, SMD divisions, and Agency organizational levels.
• Develop strategic communications, approaches, and schedules to meet the implementation and execution of operations, actions, and tasks.
• Collaborate with senior executives, management, business services offices, and SMD’s partners (NASA centers, federal agencies, universities, laboratories, etc.) to foster scientists and researchers advancing the Nation in the discovery and exploration of space and earth science.
• Support the International Mars Exploration Working Group (IMEWG) Secretary in managing logistics for IMEWG activities, including scheduling, venue arrangements, stakeholder engagement, and member coordination. Prepare comprehensive chart packages to support discussions.
• In the area of Commercial Studies Analysis & Industry Engagement; support MEP Program Executives in conducting analyses of commercial studies and evaluating opportunities for the Mars Exploration Program (MEP). Support engagement with industry stakeholders to gather insights, foster collaboration, and drive strategic projects.
• In the area of Technology Analysis & Market Research: Identify emerging technology trends relevant to the MEP. Conduct market research to assess technology landscapes, identify growth opportunities, evaluate business models, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Provide Humans to Mars & Planetary Protection Support: Assist with research, data collection, and preparing reports/presentations. Coordinate with stakeholders and manage logistics for associated workshops and seminars.
• Additional duties as required.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of related professional experience; or 7 years of experience in lieu of degree.
Experience supporting NASA Headquarters senior leadership or comparable Federal executive organizations is strongly preferred.
Location
• 2-3 Days Onsite Weekly
• NASA Headquarters – 300 E Street SW, Washington, DC
