Enforce compliance with ISO, OSHA, IOGP, and API standards.
Manage high-risk operations (lifting, hazardous materials) using proper permits-to-work (PTWs).
Lead safety meetings, audits, and emergency response drills.
3. Oil & Gas Cargo Handling
Oversee handling of oil & gas equipment, pipes, and hazardous cargo.
Ensure compliance with IOGP and API pipe handling standards.
Collaborate with project and engineering teams for specialized logistics requirements.
4. Team Management
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team (operators, riggers, supervisors).
Implement shift schedules, KPIs, and performance evaluations.
Promote a safety-first, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
5. Equipment Oversight
Manage and inspect yard equipment (forklifts, cranes, reach stackers).
Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to minimize downtime.
6. Digital Systems & Reporting
Utilize Yard Management Systems (YMS), digital PTW tools, and cargo tracking platforms.
Monitor operational performance through dashboards.
Ensure transition toward paperless processes.
7. Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies (KRA, KPA), and internal teams.
Support audits, inspections, and customer site visits.
8. Sustainability
Drive waste reduction, energy efficiency, and carbon-reduction initiatives.
Support company green logistics and sustainability goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in yard, terminal, or heavy logistics operations.
At least 3 years in a leadership role.
Mandatory:
Hands-on experience handling oil & gas cargo and/or OOG/heavy-lift logistics.
Strong communication and customer service orientation.
