Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our EDR team in Winnipeg The role reports to the Operations Manager and is being filled as a new role.

Department Overview

In this position, you will play an important role in helping clients create safer and healthier spaces. Your work will support projects that protect workers and the environment, and strengthen the health and resilience of communities. You will assess conditions in the field, gather accurate data, and translate your findings into clear recommendations that help clients make informed decisions. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and clients to understand their goals and deliver solutions that reflect quality, integrity, and care. This is meaningful work with real impact, and you will grow your skills while contributing to projects that make buildings and environments better.

Your Role and Actions

  • Perform Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Conduct groundwater monitoring and sampling programs, surveying and Site plan creation
  • Monitor underground storage tank removal programs
  • Prepare technical reports and assist with determining appropriate recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with project coordinators/managers to ensure projects are completed within the given timeline and budget
  • Work in both a self-lead and team environment
  • Liaise with site representatives and contractors

What you bring to the Pinchin team:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • 1–3 years of experience within the environmental consulting industry
  • Strong technical writing, editing, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience using AutoCAD is considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and appropriate insurance (mileage reimbursed for work‑related travel)
  • Willingness to travel throughout Manitoba and availability for occasional work outside core business hours (evenings/weekends), including the use of handheld field equipment (e.g., pumps, hand augers, hammer drills)
