The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Technical Engineer to lead and contribute to the technical execution of Auxiliary Automation projects at Hitachi Energy HVDC. This role involves ensuring the successful delivery of engineering solutions, adhering to technical specifications, and managing project lifecycles from conception to completion.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead and participate in the full lifecycle of engineering projects, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, designs, and documentation for various engineering systems and components.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct technical reviews and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Your background

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or related field)
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in project engineering, technical leadership, or a similar role within a relevant industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technical projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
  • Expertise in relevant engineering principles, software, and hardware as applicable to the specific project domain (e.g., industrial automation, power systems, IT infrastructure).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
