Action Against Hunger USA is part of the Action Against Hunger International network. As an independent NGO, Action Against Hunger USA currently manages operations in 8 countries: Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia and Haiti. Action Against Hunger-USA has over $100 million in programs, and approximately 1,800 permanent staff based in New York City, Washington D.C, Nairobi, and country offices. Additional growth is anticipated.
The Project Team Leader will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and management of the ECHO-funded integrated WASH, Health, and Nutrition project in Mantapala. The role ensures high-quality, timely, and compliant implementation while strengthening coordination with government, UN agencies, and partners.
· Provide leadership for integrated WASH–Health–Nutrition interventions
· Ensure alignment with ECHO priorities and national policies
· Mainstream gender, protection, safeguarding, and accountability
· Promote adaptive programming
· Lead planning and execution of project activities
· Manage work plans, budgets, and procurement plans
· Ensure compliance with ECHO and ACF standards
· Supervise multidisciplinary teams
· Conduct performance management and mentorship
· Promote accountability and safeguarding compliance
The role involves managing a multidisciplinary team, overseeing recruitment, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment aligned with ACF values and safeguarding policies, summarized as;
· Coordinate with MoH, UN agencies, and partners
· Represent ACF in coordination platforms
· Strengthen community engagement
The role will ensure implementation of a robust MEAL system, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning to inform adaptive programming.
· Oversee MEAL framework implementation
· Ensure data quality and reporting
· Support assessments and learning
The Project Team Leader will ensure quality and integration of WASH, Health, and Nutrition interventions, including IPC, water systems, sanitation, and hygiene promotion.
· Ensure WASH systems functionality
· Strengthen IPC and healthcare waste management
· Support integration across sectors
The role includes budget oversight, financial compliance, forecasting, and coordination with finance and logistics teams.

The Project Team Leader will ensure timely preparation of donor and internal reports, including documentation of lessons learned and success stories.

Requirements
· Master’s degree in relevant field
· 5–7 years experience
· Experience with ECHO or similar donors
· Leadership and management
· Strong communication
· Understanding of humanitarian standards
