ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management support for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Project Support Specialist to provide intermediate level support to a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.

Job Description

Provide full-time front office support as the Directorate Administrative Support for the HQ/GSFC Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Directorate, based at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Support includes administrative coordination, workflow development, and directorate-level assistance for OCIO leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated commitment to proactive customer service, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate needs and deliver timely, effective solutions.
  • Provide support for Administrative Officer duties for civil servants, including items such as on & off boarding, awards management and reorganizations.
  • Provide backup support for calendar management for the CIO, Deputy CIO/IT Operations Manager, and Directorate-based calendars.
  • Provide front office support by greeting visitors and answering office telephones.
  • Coordinate meetings/appointments/conferences and arrange for appropriate equipment.
  • Prepare agendas, attend meetings as requested, take meeting notes and actions, and transcribe / summarize notes from meetings.
  • Assist in tracking, coordinating, and preparing/submitting responses to action items in the Action Item System.
  • Support internal data calls, including scheduling, coordination, and follow-up.
  • Compile and support the timely submission of weekly and monthly reports.
  • Become fluent in the travel process, systems, rules, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members on Directorate planning and development of presentations, announcements, etc.
  • Support the coordination of office-wide activities, Directorate engagements, and special events.
  • Maintain office supply inventories.
  • Maintain and update electronic files, records, and data.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Team player with a positive/ can-do attitude at all times.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Proactive, organized, detail-oriented to respond to customer requests and deadlines.
  • Strong drive to learn new skills and hone existing ones.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate level of SharePoint knowledge preferred.
  • Must meet NASA suitability requirements, including background investigation and citizenship/permanent residency requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years of related professional experience; or
  • 5-6 years of related professional experience in lieu of degree.

Location

  • Work is to be performed onsite at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, with situational telework available upon approval.
