Salary Range: Band 4 $89,207 - $95,764 + Superannuation (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions)

The Role

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Support Officer to provide administrative and operational support to our Economic Growth & Development team.

In this role, you'll be a core member of the team, helping to coordinate activities, maintain systems and processes, prepare documentation, support meetings and events, and ensure projects and programs run smoothly. You'll work closely with Senior Officers and project leads, providing reliable day-to-day support across a broad range of economic development initiatives that benefit Brisbane's businesses and communities. The role also includes contributing to the daily operations of Council's co-working space, helping to create a professional and welcoming environment for users and stakeholders.

No two days will be the same. You may be preparing presentations and reports, maintaining stakeholder databases, coordinating events and meetings, updating websites and intranet pages, supporting communications activities, managing correspondence, assisting with sponsorship administration, conducting research, or helping ensure project information is accurate and up to date.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being organised, takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support, and is looking to further develop their skills and experience within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

To be successful you will have:

  • Experience in an administrative, business support, executive support or project support role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing correspondence, reports, presentations and meeting documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to support team priorities and contribute to positive outcomes
  • Well-developed skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Sound judgement and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • An eagerness to learn new systems, processes and ways of working.
