As Project Support Officer, you'll join a brand-new strategic project that will map the entire student journey at the University of Newcastle. Working alongside experienced User Experience (UX) and Service Design professionals, you'll help uncover what students experience from their first interaction with the University through to graduation, identifying opportunities to improve services and outcomes, particularly for students from equity cohorts.
If you're a proactive all-rounder who enjoys organising projects, working with people and bringing structure to complex pieces of work, this is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in user experience, service design and strategic project delivery.
The Role
Working within the User Experience and Business Improvement team, you'll provide project, research and administrative support for the Living Student Journey Project, a strategic initiative funded through the Commonwealth's Needs-based Funding program.
No two days will be the same. You'll coordinate workshops, support research activities, maintain project documentation, liaise with stakeholders across the University and help capture the insights that will shape future student services.
This is a focused, project-based role where you'll see the direct impact of your work while building highly transferable skills in project coordination, user research and service design.

This fixed term role is full time at a HEW 5 Higher Education Worker Level and is located at Callaghan Campus.
