DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solution company, is looking for an Electrical or Civil Project Support Engineer that can work well in a fast-paced environment. This position will be based at our Queretaro office (Tech Center) and requires less than 10 % of international travel for business meetings and client visits.

Our Team

The Project Support Engineering role supports both self-perform and contracted construction of utility-scaled Solar and BESS EPC jobs. This role provides superior value to our customers by ensuring safe, compliant, high-quality, and timely project execution. This is achieved through robust communication, group collaboration, and responsible, creative problem-solving, ensuring projects are constructed on time and in compliance with design, laws, codes, and requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering coordination, ensuring design alignment, drawing updates, and effective stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the project’s technical resource, ensuring designs, drawings, and deliverables meet contractual requirements, design intent, constructability standards, and project objectives.
  • Facilitate engineering and site development meetings, driving alignment among internal teams, external partners, and project stakeholders.
  • Resolve complex civil and structural challenges, including site preparation, foundation design, soil stabilization, drainage, and erosion control.
  • Optimize project outcomes by balancing cost, schedule, quality, and risk through value engineering and innovative design solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements, including SWPPP implementation and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate engineering risks and project constraints, prioritizing the highest-value and highest-risk issues.
  • Partner with procurement, scheduling, construction, quality, commissioning, and design teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and executed.
  • Develop and review scopes of work, specifications, data sheets, RFIs, and other pre-construction deliverables to support successful project execution.
  • Support proposal, bid, and contract development efforts by providing technical expertise, validating assumptions, and identifying project risks and opportunities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor or higher degree in electrical, civil or mechanical engineering or equivalent with professional registration (Cedula Professional - SEP) in Mexico.
  • Civil 3D and AutoCAD proficiency.
  • Fluent in English oral and written communication.
  • Experience working in EPC projects.
  • Experience creating reports and compiling data
  • Experience working in a team setting
  • Knowledge of engineering principles for analysis and design

· Familiarized with international codes such as NFPA, ASCE, AISC, ACI, etc. and / or IEEE, IEC, ANSI and NEC/NFPA.

  • Ability to travel to US during short periods (Valid passport and visa).
  • Valid driving license

What Will Put You Ahead

  • EPC experience in Utility Solar, Wind, BESS, conventional power or industrial projects.
  • Operative construction experience.
  • Subcontract management experience.
  • GIS Knowledge.
  • HDD design experience.
  • Geotechnical design experience with foundations design, pads and trenches.
  • Experience in mission critical engineering roles.
  • Experience in utility-scaled Solar and BESS EPC jobs.
  • Experience communicating in multi-lingual environments.
