Overview

Become a vital member of our growing Northeast Project, Programme and Portfolio Management (P3M) team. Your role

As an Assistant Project Manager / Project Support Officer, you will support the successful delivery of projects and programmes by:

• Providing administrative and coordination support to project and programme teams.
• Assisting with planning activities, schedules, actions and milestone tracking.
• Supporting project reporting, governance and performance monitoring.
• Preparing meeting materials, recording actions and tracking progress.
• Maintaining project documentation, registers and records.
• Coordinating stakeholders and supporting effective communication across teams.
• Assisting with risk, issue and change management activities.
• Supporting financial tracking, resource planning and project controls activities.
• Helping identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Working collaboratively with clients, colleagues and wider project teams.
• Developing your project management knowledge and professional skills through mentoring and formal training.

About you

You do not need extensive project experience to be successful in this role. We are more interested in your attitude, potential and transferable skills.

The following would be beneficial, but are not essential:

• Experience in administration, coordination, planning, scheduling or reporting roles.
• Exposure to projects, change initiatives or operational improvement activities.
• A degree, apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification.
• Membership of, or interest in joining, a professional body such as the APM.
• Experience working with data, reporting or business processes.

Security clearance
