Employment type:  Full time, Permanent

Working Hours:  Monday to Friday, 40 hours pw

About the Role

The Project Support role provides administrative, coordination and reporting support to the OHL project team. The postholder will help maintain accurate project information, monitor actions and programme requirements, and coordinate the documentation, permits, traffic management, materials, plant and resources required for the safe and efficient delivery of works. The role supports Project Managers in meeting client, operational, commercial and customer-service requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain project trackers, workstacks, programmes, action logs and other project records.
  • Support Project Managers with the planning and coordination of OHL workstreams.
  • Coordinate surveys, permits, traffic management, materials, plant and resource requirements.
  • Prepare, compile and issue project documentation, including work packs, work instructions, RAMS, safe-dig information and relevant safety documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, operational teams, surveyors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal support functions.
  • Monitor key dates, dependencies and outstanding actions, escalating risks or delays promptly.
  • Arrange meetings and produce accurate minutes, action logs and progress updates.
  • Maintain accurate information within company and client systems and ensure records are filed correctly.
  • Support the review and submission of completion evidence, as-laids, measurements, asset records and commercial documentation.
  • Assist with project reporting, cost information, variations, applications and forecasts as required.
  • Operate in full compliance with Ipsum policies, procedures, client requirements and health and safety standards.

About you….

  • Experience in a project support or coordination role.
  • Relevant business administration, project support or project management qualification is desirable.
  • Experience of maintaining trackers, records and project documentation accurately.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Experience within utilities, construction or electrical infrastructure is desirable.
  • Understanding of OHL works, distribution networks, permits and traffic management is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable where travel to offices or project locations is required.
