STV is seeking a Project Specialist to join our growing team in Richmond or Virginia Beach, VA. We will also consider highly qualified candidates in our Fairfax, VA or Washington, DC offices. In this role, you will partner closely with Project Managers and technical teams to manage project documents, coordinate deliverables, organize files, support project controls, and help ensure our work moves forward efficiently. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, takes initiative, and can manage multiple priorities while staying collaborative and solutions focused.

What You’ll Do:

As a Project Specialist, you will support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with a wide range of project coordination, documentation, and administrative activities, including:

• Create and maintain project correspondence, files, and key project documents, including Project Management Plans, Project Manuals, Health & Safety Plans, and Project Quality Plans.
• Coordinate project documentation and deliverables by gathering input from technical disciplines, formatting materials, and helping prepare cohesive final documents such as drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Support subconsultant coordination by preparing, reviewing, and organizing agreements, certificates of insurance, closeout documentation, and scope-completion materials.
• Coordinate communication with stakeholders, permitting agencies, internal teams, and construction-phase partners, including logging and distributing submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs.
• Schedule meetings, manage logistics, prepare agendas, capture meeting notes, and track action items.
• Assist with project controls, including schedules, cost tracking, earned value, estimates to complete, quality documentation, reporting, and related administrative support such as expense reports, timecards, project codes, and time transfers.
• Support project closeout and knowledge management by reviewing documentation for completeness, preparing materials for final archiving, and organizing project information for STV’s knowledge management system.
• Provide limited office support as needed, including supply coordination, mail, office event logistics, and other business-related administrative needs.

What You’ll Bring:

• 1–3 years of related project coordination, administrative, or project support experience preferred, ideally within an architecture, engineering, construction, or professional services environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification/related background in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Planning, Business Administration, Accounting, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to work well with project managers, technical staff, clients, and partners.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent time management skills and a proactive approach to keeping work organized and moving forward.
• A self-starter mindset with the confidence to ask questions, learn quickly, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Familiarity with tools such as DocuSign, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe, Bentley ProjectWise, and/or Microsoft Project is a plus.

Compensation Range:

$55,267.00 - $62,803.00
