Job Description

Location: Olongapo City,Central Luzon,Philippines

The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules. The Project scheduler is responsible for planning and sequencing project activities for each phase and construction discipline and reporting progress against the planned schedule.Also, provides forecast dates and provides variance analysis against the contract requirements, and supports the Project Manager in identifying solutions to mitigate schedule risk for the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedule for all activities required to support the design-build project
  • Work with engineering and construction leads to identify all required project activities and develop sequencing of project activities including all dependency logic
  • Review subcontractor schedules and monthly schedule updates (prepared to utilize Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software)
  • Develop project status and forecast reports based on actual progress and the best information
  • Comment on the current report period and schedule comparison with prior periods to identify network analysis schedule changes, and identify reported delay issues
  • Evaluate any proposed logic changes, provide a comprehensive analysis
  • Provide report including the contractor’s conformance to plan as related to progress, sequencing, and manpower
  • Prepare and maintain a file on all historical schedule data/documents including memos of conversations with the contractor’s scheduler
  • Provide recommendations for potential schedule revisions as necessary to mitigate schedule delay
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Preference will be given to licensed Engineers (any discipline)
  • Advanced Primavera P6 knowledge is required
  • Five years of experience in engineering and construction schedules, and experience as a project scheduler.
  • Experience in developing, sequencing, and maintaining construction schedules
  • Experience in vertical construction and the construction of Government buildings
  • Ability to analyze the construction contractor’s prepared cost-loaded Network Analysis Schedule (NAS)
  • Ability to identify potential conflicts and constraints to the construction project and provide recommendations to mitigate potential delays
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel
  • Strong English communication skills, written and oral
